Supported Platforms
BenchHype requires iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later. The app is a universal binary optimized for both devices.
Supported Audio Formats

Import audio files from the Files app, or use drag and drop on iPad.
Apple Music Requirements
Apple Music features in BenchHype require an active Apple Music subscription and an active internet connection. Local audio playback works entirely offline and does not require Apple Music.
Common Questions
The app won't play audio
- Make sure your device is not in Silent Mode.
- Check that the volume is turned up and not muted in the mixer.
- Verify the audio file is in a supported format.
- Try restarting the app.
Apple Music isn't playing or connecting
- Ensure you have an active Apple Music subscription.
- Check your internet connection.
- Verify that you have authorized the app to access Apple Music in iOS Settings.
- Note: Some DRM-protected tracks, personal custom library songs, or regional restrictions might prevent playback in third-party apps.
How do I back up my setup?
Use the backup feature in BenchHype to export your boards, sounds, scripts, rosters, and settings. Backups can be stored locally or in iCloud. Pro users also get automatic backups.
